There is a new scam doing the rounds.
You may receive a message (recorded) from a supposed ATO agent that you have an ATO debt that needs to be discussed.
They request you ring A Sydney number (in the case I have seen) and talk to either of 2 names mentioned.
The ATO does not make phone calls like this.
If you do receive a call or message like this please contact us and we will investigate to see if there actually is a problem.
